Cause if your screenpack is made for one version of mugen, then it's not gonna work on the other one. And there is 3 versions of mugen by now: WinMugen - the older one, Mugen 1.0 - updated and better one, Mugen 1.1 - latest new version but in beta. And to find out which version of mugen you are using, launch mugen.exe and, if you launched it first time, it's gonna open a page in mugen that will tell you, which version of mugen you are using. But if you launched it second time, then just look at the bottom left side of the scree. There, you should be able to see the number of you version of mugen that you are now using. And so yeah, like i said, you need to download screenpack for your specific version of mugen, otherwise it will not work. So simple that even a kid, who never played mugen games, can install it with no problem. For WinMugen, you just copy all the files of your screenpack that is in archive in to your mugen folder and replace everything. For Mugen 1.0 and 1.1 you need to go to your mugen/data/mugen1/ folder and copy all of your downloaded screenpack files in to that mugen1 folder. ![]() If it tells you to replace something then do it. Now launch your mugen.exe from the main mugen folder and see what was changed.īut, many times when you download your desired screenpack for mugen, it appears that it already has preinstalled mugen in it.
